Leadership and Management

BSB51915 - Diploma of Leadership and Management

The Australian YMCA Institute of Education and Training has developed a contextualised Diploma of Leadership and Management that will provide fundamental management skills to new and existing managers.

The Diploma course has been specifically designed to deliver current industry leadership and management skills and abilities to assist managers in their day to day decisions. The evidence for assessment will be drawn from real life situations and practices that participants will already be performing as part of their normal duties.

There are some entry requirements for this course and they are as follows:

  • You have a minimum of two (2) year experience in a management position
  • Have the ability to gather the required evidence for assessment
  • Gain approval from your immediate manager

Cost

$4195.00 per participant (Including all costs). 

This course can be offered as a traineeship @ $3581.25 per participant.

Course Duration

The program will run over two (2) weeks and delivered in two (2) separate one (1) week blocks and it is delivered primarily as facilitator led.

Enrolled students have up-to 12 months to complete the course but this may vary student to student.

BSB20115 Certificate II in Business

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of junior administrative positions who perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. Individuals in these roles generally work under direct supervision.

Possible job outcomes include:

  • Receptionist
  • Administration assistant
  • Data entry 

Pathways from this qualification include studying any of the following qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Business
  • Certificate III in Business Administration 

This qualification is made up of 12 units, 1 core and 11 electives.

    This qualification reflects the varied roles of individuals across different industry sectors who apply a broad range of competencies using some discretion, judgment and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.

    • Administration Officer 

    Pathways from this qualification include studying any of the following qualifications:

    • Certificate IV in Business
