A message from YMCA WA Training Management regarding TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Due to the teach out period for the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment ending on the 5 October 2017, the YMCA WA will not be able to commence new students in our full eight day course after July 24. YMCA WA Training is actively seeking approval to deliver the recently endorsed TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. We hope to have this on scope prior to October teach out date.

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.

This qualification, or the skill sets derived from units of competency within it, is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program.

YMCA WA Training provides two streams for these qualifications:

  • 8 Day Full Course, for those with no experience in the vocational training sector.
  • 5 Day RPL for teachers in schools, with a teaching qualification and experience in delivering and assessing vocational training.

YMCA WA Training has developed a customised program for the TAE40110 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment that specifically recognises the skills and abilities for suitably qualified teachers who hold a Bachelor of Education.

YMCA WA Training is committed to providing a streamlined RPL process that recognises the existing competencies held by teachers delivering (or seeking to deliver) vocational education and training.

YMCA WA Training is committed to deliver a quality Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification. As such; sufficient, current, authentic and valid evidence is required from all candidates to meet the evidentiary requirements of the training package.

The TAE RPL course has been specifically designed to guide you in gathering evidence you will already have access to as part of your everyday work activities.

When you have fulfilled the requirements of the RPL process, which is done pre-course, you receive a competency result in the TAEDEL401A - Plan, organise and deliver group based learning unit and some recognition towards TAEDES401A – Design and develop learning programs. This significantly reduces the number of days you would need to attend face to face training.
