This qualification allows individuals to develop basic functional knowledge and skills to prepare for work in the sport and recreation industry. The range of technical knowledge and skills is limited. It does not have an industry employment outcome.

Pathways from this qualification include studying any of the following qualifications:

  • Certificate II in Sport & Recreation
  • Certificate II in Sport Coaching
  • Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation

This qualification is made up of 8 units, 5 core and 3 electives.
